Description/Winemakers Notes:
Another knock out of the park for our future winemakers. This blend is made from the individual fermentations that were done by students, tasted, blended, and aged for 14 months in French oak to create a perfect harmony of ripe fruit and smoky notes.
Tasting Notes:
The colour is a deep purple that is almost opaque. The nose boasts dark cherry, hints of mocha and a bit of leather. On the palate it fresh raspberry, with a little black berry. Strong tannins that will soften with age and a finish that shows baking spice and dried fruit character.
Pairing Suggestions:
Smoked meats and barbequed meats or vegetables, or a robust Bolognese sauce.
