Description

This is a uniquely Canadian expression—a carefully crafted blend of Canadian rye and malted barley, aged in a mix of new oak and stout-beer casks. The heavier-bodied rye brings structure and spice, while the barley lends softness and subtle cereal notes. The use of stout casks, previously home to rich, dark beer, imparts a roasted-malt character and velvety texture to the whisky. On the nose, you’ll find aromas of toasted oak, marzipan, dark chocolate, and freshly brew ee, all wrapped in a faint echo of stout. The palate opens with soft vanilla and candied toffee apple, followed by warming rye spice, caramelized brown sugar, and bittersweet chocolate. A gentle stout finish lingers, with roasted grain and oak rounding out the experience.
